European Researchers' Night

The European Researchers' Night, funded under the Marie SkÅ‚odowska-Curie actions (MSCA), is a Europe-wide event bringing researchers closer to the public.  The night provides researchers the opportunity to showcase the diversity of science and its impact on citizens' daily lives, and to stimulate interest in research careers – especially among young people. The events highlight how researchers contribute to our society by displaying their work in an interactive and engaging forum.

As part of the ChickenStress program ESRs 1 and 5 are studying a part of the brain called the amygdala in Chickens and its involvement with the stress response.

Our team in Lleida, Spain have prepared activities for the European Researchers' Night. These are simple activities about the brains of different animals (including humans) for the whole family to play with. They are in three languages Catalan, Spanish and English.

1) Paint a brain. What colours do you imagine your brain is? Download the brain and paint it as you like. Send it to this address (comunicacio@irblleida.cat) and we will display it in our virtual showroom.

Addressed to: All ages
