Janicke Nordgreen

Janicke Nordgreen is associate professor at the Norwegian University of Life Science. Janicke studied veterinary medicine at the Norwegian School of Veterinary Science, followed by a PhD in veterinary medicine (nociception and pain in fish) and a post doc in fish behaviour. Her research focuses on factors influencing the welfare of production animals (poultry, fish and pigs). Recent projects include the effects of rearing conditions on the welfare and productivity of laying hens, and the effect of immune activation on social behaviour in pigs. Janicke is a member of the ISAE (International Society for Applied Ethology).

Janicke is the scientist in charge of Project 11: Effects of early life experience on spatial cognition, neurogenesis and neurohormonal responses to stress.
